Coconut milk

Was getting some from Migros 5M on and off but it seemed to dry up. We tried to order from a local shop but they failed to get the stuff. Where can I get some please?

Re: Coconut milk

Same here os42, it's rare in Antalya but there's a supermarket over in Lara district (Fener, to be pricise) that sells some if that is anywhere near you?

Re: Coconut milk

We have always purchased our coconut milk in Metro (between Yalikavak and Bodrum). They have a great range of both Asian and Oriental ingredients.

Re: Coconut milk

Wow. lots of replies here!

Yep, I really should've bought more when we saw it in Migros. I did buy the last 3 cans in a shop in Cirali (but then only bought a couple in Migros cos local shopkeeper had said he'd have a box for us and I didn't want to over do it.... We've been having it on cornflakes and making rice pudding with it as we're not big (cow) dairy eaters.

I'm not familiar with Antalya or the Lara district so would feel uncertain about finding a supermarket but will certainly bear it in mind. Our local shopkeeper did suggest a Metro (but I guess not one close to Bodrum!), again not sure where it is but maybe I should look it up.

I did get someone to bring over 2 blocks of creamed coconut but its nearly gone! I have been soaking dessicated but its not the same... Making from fresh isn't a bad idea. I'm usually wary of opening the things, but maybe it'll be a nice challenge for us!

Re: Coconut milk

Ah ha OS42, i've asked around and i've been reliably informed that there is indeed a Metro near Antalya airport. I couldn't follow exactly where tho'-perhaps it's on the same stretch of road where Deepo outlet and all the huge car showrooms are...

I was told you have to have a membership card but not sure what's needed to obtain one...maybe those who have already one can clarify??
