Re: Apollonium Beach Spa

Hi all, I'm just in the process of buying a property at kusadasi golf resort and will be coming over to view progress at the end of June.

The developers are putting us up at Apollonium, I've looked on the internet and it does look absolutley lovely so congrats to all of you that own a property there. i was wondering if any of you could let me know the best places to to go to shop / eat etc as I note on a previous msg that it's very pricey on site.

many thanks

Re: Apollonium Beach Spa

Hi Ivy,
I don't refer to this site often, so apologies for the delay in responding.
We are now very pleased with the way the site has developed, but unfortunately due to family illness we have been forced to put our property there up for sale. It is Eros 14, a two bed 2 bath property, and comes fully furnished and equipped as a "turnkey". When you are out at the site at the end of June, pop round and take the details off our for sale board, and give me a ring and I will arrange a viewing via our letting agents if you are interested.
Its on sale at £74,000. and includes 4 bookings up to the end of the season.
As far as the locality is concerned, there is the Temple of Apollo at Didim, about 30 mins away, plus the resort of Akbuk and Altinkum. As Apollonium Spa fronts onto a sandy beach, you are just a 200 metre stroll away from the sea anyway! There is also the ancient sites at Migros and Ephesus to see, and a visit to the Dilek national park is a must. A car does make life simpler though to see the sites and surrounding area.
One of the advantages of Apollonium is that there are no high rises and it nestles in a valley with views of the mountains and forest, and the blue sea.

Re: Apollonium Beach Spa

Hi Ivy,
Further to my last entry, for big shops you can go to the supermarkets tn Akbuk about 6Kms away, or use the supermarket on site, or the little local shop which is in the village next to the site. Just walk out the main gate, and go through the orchard.
There is a market in Akbuk on Saturday which is good for cheap veg, and other stuff if you like to haggle!
Spirits are exspensive in Turkey, so buy any booze in the duty free on the way out. Beer and wine though is very reasonable. An Efes beer is about 2.50 lira in a bar (although its still 4.50 on the site).
Have a good trip.
Mark

Re: Apollonium Beach Spa

We went out in April. so its possible prices are greatly reduced at that time, out of season.
That was what the little bar on the beach at the old Bar-Fa site next door to Apollonium charged us!
Your right, market is on Friday in Akbuk. Funny how thw days merge when your waiting for an Ash cloud to disperse.
