Question Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

Does anyone on this forum have any recent info of people staying at CLC Apollonium with regards to health issues.

I received an email today from a very concerned mother of three due to holiday at this resort very soon. She sent me the following link to “Trip Advisor” containing several recent reports of visitors becoming violently ill.

Urgent changes required to restore hygiene - Apollonium Club La Costa Spa & Beach Resort, Mugla Province Traveller Reviews - TripAdvisor

Apparently the resorts medic and reps have been claiming all the sickness and diarrhoea are due to pollen from the mountains.

Re: Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

We know a family that are staying at the moment and the first week they were to visit our friends but we all very very ill in succession. All with bad tums and sickness. They just put it down to turkey trots and did nt say anything about anyone else being ill on the complex but then again we did nt ask.

Re: Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

My neice flew Easyjet from Bodrum to Stansted on 24 July. She said there were about 15 people on the flight who were very ill with sickness and the trots. They had stayed at this resort. All passengers were apparently taken off the plane and then the sick ones were escorted to ambulances.

Re: Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

Well whats to say really - the place is out in the sticks and most people are holidaymakers dont really come on this forum...........The people we know are on a sort of time share scheme. There is a central eating Restaurant and maybe thats where the bug is coming from or maybe a carrier of some sort of bug. I am sure the owners are aware of the problem and when I told my friiends she said yes they said its to do with the pollen from the mountains?????????????

Re: Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

I understand what you are saying.

The owners of Apollonium also have there own Forum.

Many of the people there own there own properties as we do, as well as holiday makers.

Club La Costa only own a pro-portion of the properties there.

Just keeping my fingers crossed & hope everthing is ok, as my 11 year old daughter is so looking forward to staying there & seeing her cousins. I do not fancy spending all my time in bed or in the bathroom!!!!!

Re: Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

A few of my 3500+ Club La Costa owner members at my website got caught with this bug.
They have been told at the resort, that it was likely something to do with the Sewerage, although some have connected eating at the Restaurant on site. Food was open to Flying insects transmitting it. We've asked Club La Costa to comment on this, but as yet, nothing. I don't know if anyone is fully investigating it, but if they are, then they may be waiting on a report.
Caio!

Re: Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

club la costa is a timeshare resort if i am not mistaken, they have other club la costa sites in spain. we owned a timeshare years ago and we looked around a couple of club la costa resorts but we never stayed at one. i hope everyone who has holidayed here and become ill a speedy recovery.

Re: Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

I wouldn't read too much into the ramblings of toprobroy chaps.

He is a CLC plant who has already been banned from Consumer Action Group and Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert consumer forum.

Anything negative about CLC and he starts his onslaught of threats toward the site owners and also the posters.

His "website" he speaks of is also a scam. He claims it is free - have a go yourself, you can't access anything without paying.

Re: Anyone stayed at Club La Costa recently?

Well thank you Applies2, for your fount of knowledge on my being a CLC Plant! Can I ask where you have such evidence. Also, may I ask what gain would I have in making my statement, when I was just answering a question posed by a Member of this site.

To help clarify Apples2 statement, Our site is Free to register and is mainly for CLC Owners and those who have been to a presentation and are in a Cool Off Period having some doubts about what they've done. A Subscription Membership is offered, if people want to meet and learn from other Owners, and assist us in our relationship with Club La Costa. The site does not belong to Club La Costa, nor is associated with any of their organisations.

The "threats" you speak of were related to a member of another Website, who took personal information from my website, without my permission, which was part of the terms and conditions signed up to when they were allowed to join. That member used the information to mis-represent our Website and Club La Costa. They refused to admit or remove the information, and when I pointed out the breach, I was banned from the site for asking the Admin to get involved. Not very democratic or in the spirit of co-operation.

The Admin of Turkish Living also has Rules, so he/she will understand that I did no more that try to enforce the Rules of my own site, when a breach of those rules were incurred. I hope you will take note of Rule no 1 in Turkish Livings Rules, and be courteous in your response, and also please do not make further claims about me that you have no written substantiated evidence to support.

I trust that clears up the inference made by Apples2 and I welcome any phone call to any interested party who would like to discuss this.
