new keys cut

hiya folks, could anybody tell me where i can get a new set of keys cut to my apartment in altinkum. i wish for the locks to be changed when i go over in may. is there a local shop that does it ? if so any idea of the cost etc ? i have good reasons for this as we have just heard horror stories that some peoples homes have been rented out unbeknown to the owners over the winter period and obviously we wish to take control of this situation so it doesn't happen to us .... scary i know but i believe it has happened.

regards steve

There is a place in Altinkum but not sure where. I had a 2 new locks fitted plus a lock sorted that had no key (he picked the lock in 5 seconds flat) the locksmith had to come out over 2 days as we had to get a deadlock on front door (as opposed to a yale type, in case we accidently locked ourself out) It cost in the region of about £25 for the lot

All these type of shops are around the G3 area on the map, new locks are about £10, they are easy to change you just need couple of screwdrivers.

There is one just next to Isbank in Didim. For new key cuts they charge 2-3 GBP and for a new lock with a set of 3-4 keys 10GBP approx.

Hi Steve, how annoying that winter letting could be going on! How dare they. You are in same block as us. We will be there on 1st May & will have keys to all our friends appartments to check them out & now obviously I will be looking for evidence of this. This key thing is odd because we've only been given one of each, our estate agent has the rest, why? We received quite a desperate e-mail from them about 2 weeks ago, stressing the importance that we let them know exactly when, we or any friends/family were going to be out there. Could be good reason but, it made me think..... However, if I did find anything evidentual & they are the only ones with keys,
what a fabulous forum to name & shame. Sure, though that this wouldn't be the case as they are pretty damned good. Zoe'.
