We have just got our residence visas and can now get an internet provider, thank goodness! (Sorry if this question has been answered before but I have looked and can't find anything.) Where do we have to go to get an internet provider and how much does it cost? I would be looking for unlimited access. I have a wireless router from UK don't know if it will be any good.

First get your phone line and then get your ADSL connection from the same office. The prices are below (Limitli = limited; Limitsiz = unlimited) . The basic prices are monthly but there are significant discounts available depending on the package you want, so you need someone to help you in the TT office. See web site:

I really hope you have more luck than we did with phone line and Internet. We too are in Yalikavak and applied for phone in mid August and given a number and told it would be a couple of days.

Well -then they gave the number to someone else in Geris
so we went back and were told that "work needs to be done in Yalikavak" and it would be another month....
so after the month we went back and were told "big technical problems in Yalikavak" and it would be six months....
so we are still waiting....

Hope the problem is only in our part of Yalikavak and not yours.
By the way only one lady in the TurkTelecom office speaks English and our turkish is very basic so that made it harder for us too.
