Visa

hi

I understand that you need a 3 month visa stamp to get in the country but this year i go on 20th June and 18th september. That means my visa runs out while i'm there in September. Does that mean i need to buy one on the 2nd visit or because its valid when I land it is ok?

Your visa must be valid for your period of stay Martyn therefore although your entry is valid, your exit is not.

You must buy a new one mate. Dont chance it, the penalties well outweigh the visa cost.

Merv!

Yes Merv is absolutely right, our friends got caught just by a couple of days and they were marched up to a little room and treated like murderers, my friend was really upset, she's over it now but she said it was a horrible experience [:0] She laughs about it now but says she wouldn't want to go through it again

Maria I don't think so, my friend was a couple of days and that was last year. I wouldn't risk it [:0]

Yeah I remember my experience in Gazi Antep that time, when I was marched into a little room by 6 burly portly turks - aww took 6 turks to intimidate this little woman! I won't forget that in a hurry! So I always make sure my visa is valid, if in doubt just pay up it saves you the hassle and the trauma

The visa lasts for 90 day's, some people think it is three actual months. we are in the same boat, we return to Turkey within the 90 day's but by the time we leave there the visa has expired, for the sake of a few quid it's not worth the worry, enjoy your holiday.
