passports

is it right that you have to have 12 clear months free on your passport from the date you would be travelling home ? ... our lad will be coming out with us the first 3 weeks in july this year and his current passport expires in august 2006, will he be ok on this one or will we have to get him another on ??

cheers steve [?]

yep it's six months. We had to renew our daughters for that reason in April. Cost us £70 as we hadn't noticed and needed it same day.

It is six months for Turkey.I had to get a new passport recently and thought a further 10 years would run from when my previous passport expired but this was not so.If you travel to Turkey every year then your passport is not valid for 10 years but 9 years 6 months at the most.
