Yes click on my logo ad on the right side of this page, fill in the form and I will look and advise free of charge. You could have a condensation problem which is rife at this time of year and sometimes can be rectified very cheaply.

Re: damp beds & walls :(
and an electric blanket - we have never had one before but I couldn't stand not to have it now. We keep our doors and windows open through the day if we are not out and that seems to keep everything quite well aired.

Re: damp beds & walls :(
I second the electric blanket advice, but also get a small electric radiator (50 ytl or less) and leave it on all the time. Have a window open slightly when you are asleep and leave the doors open during the day to ventilate the room. Pull back the blankets each morning to air the bed. I had the same problem this year for the first time and this method solved it.

Re: damp beds & walls :(
Years ago when in my training for damp proofing I was taught 1 simple phrase...............''Heat and ventilation, combats condensation''! get that right and you will solve your problem. Keep doors shut from possible areas creating steam, ie Bathrooms and Kitchens as well, however the biggest culprit is your own breath when sleeping at night. (warm air onto cold surfaces)
You may also need a damp proof course.

Re: damp beds & walls :(
But if Vici18 has a house, and assuming the bedrooms are upstairs, a DPC is not likely to be the first priority.
