Council Tax we were led to beleive is around £60 per year which can be paid in two 6monthly payments.

try this discussion, there's a link re the new one off extra payment for municipality tax. Annual council tax is very low compared to UK.

I had my council tax bill just a couple of weeks ago, this amounted to £19.35 for the year, we bought our duplex last May, the amount you pay is supposed to be the same for the first 5 years and then it is revised,i have some more info on this subject and will post it on here shortly.
