Learning Turkish

I am new to this forum (indeed any forum) so apologies if i am in the wrong place. My wife and I are looking to learn Turkish in the Bristol area. We can not find any college course locally, can anyone help us.
Chris.

Re: Learning Turkish

Sounds very silly but I've recommended this before. Find out if your local kebab shop is run by Turks. If so, ask if anyone there wants help with their English in return for helping you with your Turkish.

Also, as you live in or near a university city, it might be worth inquiring at the language faculty about what courses are available for those learning English and whether they have Turkish students taking part.

Re: Learning Turkish

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the Forum, I live in Bristol as well, City of Bristol College on College Green used to do Turkish classes, but checking their website now, this isn't listed anymore. Might be an idea to contact them, to see if they can help at all, their tel: No: is 0117 312 5000 or e'mail [email protected].

Re: Learning Turkish

My in laws had some Turkish lessons a year or so ago from a Turkish lady. I think she lived in the Brislington area and went to their house each week to teach them. I'll try to find out her phone number. PM me if you'd like it.
