can I borrow your drill!

I can picture you lot laughing! Our luggage space is maxed out due to the new curtains and bed clothes and everything else bar the kitchen sink. Pride of place is out welcome plaque which is to de drilled in to the wall as well as beautiful paintings I bought that I'm trying to pass off as having done myself in case anyone admires them! A hammer drill would be too heavy to pack so does anyone have one over in Akbuk that I could borrow? I will take full responsibilty for it and will replace it if broken but don't attempt to give it to me broken so I can take the rap and buy you a new one. A cordelss screwdriver would be no good in those solid walls so it has to be a hammer drill.

Anna.

For your info and anyone else with similar needs. You can get dills (the bits) which are made to drill masonry without hammer action, they also go through wood, ceramic, marble plastic etc. the set I have is called Uni Plus by joran and can be bought from DIY stores, Screwfix Direct etc in the UK. They do work very well and because they are designed to work slowly & without hammer action you can use them with a lightweight cordless and if you want to drill through tiles in your bathroom you need this type of drill bit anyway, they are a good investment, got me out of the mire on many occasions where I needed to drill masonry & no power supply.

Sorry I can't help you though my set are in front of me on my desk in England. Smile at your sitesi security man bet he will have something he can lend you.

Ha! You read my mind Merlin! Of course, I do offer such a service, but why would you rent a hammer drill when you can buy them out here so cheaply?
Of course, I couldn't offer my usual free delivery service to Akbuk, especially with petrol prices so high.

Re: can I borrow your drill!

I was told they are very expensive to buy over there thats why I was going to bring one over when the luggage was a bit lighter next year.

It looks like I'm sorted now everyone thanks.
