the seller pays the agents commission. i have just sold and was charged 1% commission and 450 pounds for solicitors fee.

Jesus George that wasn't bad. Here in Ireland they charge 5% commission plus of course all the ad fees.

Yep. You can go in to their free monthly one or whatever but if you want to go in to the newspaper you have to pay and you also have to pay for the cost of having the digital photos too!
