Question Turksat in the UK....

Wondered if this is possible. A member on the forum was asking me about this as a way of improving her Turkish.

Its free-to-air, but when she enquired at her local dealer near Cambridge they said it cant be received.

Can anyone advise?

Merv

Re: Turksat in the UK....

We have just had Turkish Satellite (TurkSat) installed today in our UK home and it is absolutely fantastic. We paid £230 which includes a 90cm dish (any bigger and you need planning permission), an excellent Technomate TM-1000 Receiver and perhaps 15m of good quality cable.
The engineer was also excellent, took him perhaps 3 hrs to install, excellent worker, very neat and tidy cabling and he took time to ensure the existing freeview receiver and video recorder all functioned okay.

We now have a choice of some 90 Turkish TV channels and approx 60 turkish Radio stations all with excellent quality.
The great thing now is that once installed, there are no other payments to make, no monthly subscriptions, no hidden charges, all the stations are free.

If anyone would like to have Turksat installed in their UK home, then I would be more than happy to pass on the name and telephone number of the engineer that did our installation. I think he will happily travel anywhere within the M25, and even further out for a bit of extra petrol money. Please PM or email me for further details.

Thanks
