I have a Gima card that i use before every transaction. Anyone got any idea on how it works?

The Gima card works as far as i am aware on special offers, if you look at the offers theres a price and a price for card holders

I used my friends Migros card in August, they did look a bit suspicious when a turkish mans name came up and little old me was standing there but they didnt say anything!
You just hand it over when you're at the check out, like you do in tesco's, and you get loyalty points which you can use to get 'free shopping' which my friend told me to use it for, but I chickened out in the end as the girl had already given me a few funny looks!
I had his Gima one aswell which I presume works in the same sort of way but Migros looked more exciting to us!

I have both Gima an Migros cards I tend to use Migros more but I would think they both have the same system, when at the check out hand the card over first, any special offers deduction etc are then taken off automatically, at times like last month Migros were giving an extra 10% off the shopping bill on all totals over 50Tl, aswell as the specials etc. you also earn points, and once a year I swipe the card a the swipe desk usually situated at the begining of the shop and claim the points voucher, last year I claimed 159Tl back, I did a big shop and spent over 200Tl and got the 159Tl off! not bad. also check the shops special shopping times, Migros offer % off all shopping if go through the tills before 9.30 or 10am. Ramadan is upon us again, offers galore during this month, double points double discounts, spent 46TL one time and the girl said i had to spend another 4TL she raced off got shampoo and deodrant and my bill came to 41TL because if you spent 50TL you had 15% discount. something to watch out for.
