Price of Petrol

Does anyone know how much petrol is per litre of gallon? As it is next to the oil producing countries.

Ivy, Iknow where you are coming from, it is alittle dearer than UK, Deisel is about the same as UK.

It is all to do with taxes and transprtation that makes it so expensive. also there is no price war over here all petrol stations tend to sell at the same price.

i was surprised at the price of fuel over in turkey. thats why the transport fares to and from the airports are very expensive. the cost of fuel and buying vehicles over in turkey seem to be more expensive than the uk, and i thought we were the dearest !

I was shocked talking to business people in Marmaris, shopkeepers for instance and a photographer explained their rent and the exorbitant tax on top. It was a lot of tax but I can't remember the amount.

If you have someone shop with you you can get cars and deals cheaper than the UK. Friend had a Yaris which I think was including 3 years service. Another got a Renault at a good price.
Many have switched over to LPG. Many of the LPG fuel tanks installed in the UK are made in Turkey.

Switching to LPG would be cheaper but be very very careful who you get to install the tank. Everyday on the news I see a car that has blown up because of these cowboy LPG installers. Also a lot of indoor car parks will not allow LPG vehicles inside. Even the channel tunnel will not allow them on their trains.

If you do add LPG to your car in the UK only use those approved by LPGA
