New keys?

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I need more keys cut for the top lock of my rental apartment door, these are the keys that are like a long 'tube' barrel with spikes on the end? My agent in Turkey says you can't get them which surprises me as it is a new door, in England we went to a locksmith and he said he could cut the keys but in England we can't get the long barrels, only the shorter version. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The keys that we have for our duplex are weird. The have circles cut in to them and seemingly you can't get them cut. I had a replacement lock fitted and was handed 4 keys so I believe it will be easier to get a new lock if you need more keys. Mine was £10 last year. There is a guy who does it in Altinkum and the estate agent dealt with him so I don't know where he is exactly.

I think you can get the keys cut in Turkey but not in UK, when you get the lock you also get a card with a serial number, I believe that is the code to have the keys made up again if you lose your keys.

I fitted a new lock you our house and as Anna said its cost about £10 for the lock and four keys.

as they have mentioned you can get the locks changed, I will try to get a name of a locksmith or see if the keys can be cut

I honestly would recommend them instead of having keys cut you get anew lock. If for some reason you got only one set... where are all the other keys??? There are always at least 3 keys with any lock so it means someone else has set(s) of your keys. Again just a precaution...
