Exchange Rates

Can someone give us an idea what the exchange rate for hard cash is in the currency centres is?

We are due to fly into Turkey on Tuesday and was wondering what the local rates were. I know what the banks are on line, we are Nationwide customers before somebody asks, just want local rates. £=YTl

Currently 2.36 as shown on garanti.com.

If you don't mind the jargon and can quickly understand what the daily market briefs on both Garanti and Moneycorp's web sites are saying each day, you can often get the idea of what is either happening at that time or what my be about to happen with future results etc.
By picking someone else's brains, it is possible to hold back and wait for rates to rise, or deciding to buy at that time if they are predicting doom and gloom.
It might sometimes only make a few YTL cents or percentage of a Euro difference to look at but if you are about to make a big payment, it can add up to a lot.
There are currently things predicted as I am sure you are aware that can effect the UK economy and interest rates, which in turn will affect the strength of the £. The euro is also not as sturdy as it was.
All worth watching and making decisions at what you hope is the right time.
And remember, it's always better in your pocket.
