Needing A P.O.Box In Turkey For Business Correspondence
Hello Everyone and I am very happy to be on this board with all friendly people asking questions and providing answers.
I am going to do some business trips to Turkey, Ankara and will be in there frequently afterwards, 10 days every month.
By reading through the posts I have learned how to open bank accounts there but I also am in need of having a means of correspondence for business matters and actually an address for my letters , and therefore renting a P.O.Box is very important and workable for me.
Please let me know how I can do this and if there is any means for having a postal address in Turkey, beside the normal way of renting houses.
Can hotels help me in this regards for example, so that I tell people to deliver my letters to the hotel address I will be residing at?
Thank You

You can always use the Poste Restante facility at your local post office.

Thank you for your reply, and for using this service, should I pay fees, provide passport, filling in some forms like the case of purchasing a SIM card for example? And I guess, according to your saying, personal boxes may or may not be available.

Re: Needing A P.O.Box In Turkey For Business Correspondence
I don't think so. I used it for a while here in Fethiye. My friends and family just addressed mail to me c/o Poste Restante, Fethiye, etc. I went to the post office and looked in the book they provided on the counter to see if there was anything for me. If so, I told the person behind the counter, who would check in the safe and then give the mail to me. I did have to pay a small charge each time I collected something and I did have to show my passport to prove that I was entitled to collect the post, but i don't remember having to fill out any forms. I now have a post box (PK) and I did have to complete a form for this and have it signed by our local mayor. There is a nominal charge for this each year - something like 3 lira, plus a deposit for the key.

If you start to use one particular hotel on a regular basis, I am sure they will hold your mail between visits.

Thank You Harem for the details and complete guidance. The procedure does seem to be workable and easy to handle.
Thanks immac for your point too. I also thought this was possible.
I will be using the two of procedures. Thanks again and take care both of you!
