Hi Mike, we have also set up English and Turkish Currency accounts with IsBankasi in Didim and also want to set up Internet Access to settle future bills on our new house.

I have not got round to doing this yet but will try sometime soon. Your right, the site is all in Turkish with no English help.

Fortunately, I do have a turkish wife so she should be able to help out.

When we were in Is Bankasi during Late September, we did ask how to set things up and we were given the phone number 811 28 10 11 so presumably you need the 0090 country code up front. The cashier also said that they also speak some English which would be a great help here.

Turkiye Is Bankasi also have a branch in London at:

TÜRKIYE iŞ BANKASI A. Ş . (BRANCH)
8 PRINCES STREET
LONDON EC2R 8HL
TEL: 020 7606 7151
FAX: 020 7726 2566
www.isbank.com.tr

It might be worth trying them as well although I have contacted them before on something else and they seem to operate seperately from their Turkish banks, although thet come under the same umbrella.

I will try sometime but problably not this week as things are hectic at work right now.
In the meantime, if you decide to try, let us know how you get on.

I can tell you that the first screen says 1)enter customer number, which is on your Bank Account cards and 2) enter password (but leave blank if this is your first time).

I will need my wifes help to transer the rest but it does say you need a special key which I didn't understand.

Re: ISBANK internet banking???

Turkiye Isbankasi is the only bank i always recommend my friends and customers from uk because we never had any problems with their services which we regularly have to expect with the hsbc.

Is bankasi has a 24 hours customer care phone line, which is 444 02 02
(should work with 0090 for turkey from england)

After a short announcent it says:

"For english press 99"

To be able to use the online banking system of is bankasi you have to get / setup an online banking password. Just follow the instructions. As far as I remember it was menu number 7 (online banking) and than the 1 (setting up online banking password the first time). It must be a 6 digit password which is valid for one monthly. You have to redo this when after a month the password has expired. (to change or renew the password it is menu number 7 and than 2).

To use the online banking system got to <www.isbank.com.tr> than press the yellow link button "internet Subesi Giris" on top right. A pop up window will appear and ask you for your customers number (a nine digit number) on the firsdt line.
The second line is asking for the security password, if you havent set up any security password (you can't have, if it's the first time you visit the online banking page, so leave it blank) and press "giris" (enter)
On the next page you will be asked for:

1. your name
2. Your family name
3. (This question changes everytime you login, it can be your home or work phone number, place of birth, your fathers name or your account number)
4. Your online banking password (the 6 digit one you setup at 444 02 02) - don't forget to place the cursor into to blank field here first and than use the number fields)

Finally just press the "giris" (enter) button and you are on your private online banking page.

Good luck

Hi, It looks like you have to dial the number first before you can use the on-line banking facility.
However, I have just tried 0090 4440202 and 0090 04440202 and cannot connect with either of them. Has anyone else had any success with these numbers. It is supposed to be a 24 hour facility, and their Internet site also says use 444 02 02.
If dialing from England is their any additional prefix number apart from the country code 0090?

Thanks

Garry

Never heard of anybody from the UK being able to access Isbank accounts in Turkey
The internet option is only available in Turkey- it is still the best bank by far-stick with it

Hi bluestar, thanks for trying to help set this up.

I dialed the above number, entered my 9 digit customer number, but then it asks for a 4 digit interective pin number.

Where do I obtain this from ?

Thanks
