I have to say that the Lira regained some losses overnight it wasn't devalued!! It is still stronger than it was before yesterday's interest rate hike.

I'm with Sue re the next part of your post, although I assume green means positive???!!!!!

Against the dollar the lira devalued 7.94 at close to 8.04 this morning , that is a devaluation .

It's a pity that the Central Bank, Turkey and Turks had to lose billions on one man's ideology on interest rates ... all spent in having to prop up the lira. Only for him to decide (forced) a few months later its all alright to change and put up interest rates ... sure business and people who lost out aren't happy...


Because it seems these jitters have brought about the lack of confidence and it's creeping back up. If it had been a decisive decision made in the beginning to raise them the confidence could have been restored

The one man made a speech friday ,as you can see, not help full.The Doviz was changing wile he was talking.

strange that dollar interest rate is also increased
tax 20 percent for dollar interest rate
lir 5 percent
