Belek

Hi Everyone

I am looking at buying a flat in the Royal Golf Villas development up by the National GC. Probably staying there for around 4-5 months a year.

Does anyone have any inside information on this development other than the developer's website. (I do know they are good and reputable developers, quality and buildwise).

What is the resell market like in this part of the world?

Does Kadriye / Belek stay open all year round or just during the tourist season?

Do the other golf courses welcome residents or just want the lucrative tourist market?

I've heard that Belek is very damp - is this true?

Any help / info would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Shandrani

Re: Belek

The towns of Kadriye and Belek are open all year round. The level of services varies according to the tourist seasons.

A recent article in The Turkish Daily News reported that most of the indigenous pine trees in the area have been cleared to make way for the golf courses and the effect of extracting ground water to keep the greens in good condition is starting to affect the area. The aerial photographs were very depressing.

That's progress I suppose.

Hi Shandrani,
As Philogic has written go on the belekhomeowners site, this is were we all help each other. I myself have had a house for about three years near the Forsa Shopping centre. I'm not sure who the builders are for this complex but if you require any help theres always someone who knows the answer.
The resort is open all year and you are welcome to play on any golf course but for cheaper fee's why not join the Kadriye,Belek golf society.
As for Belek being very damp, you have the cold air coming off the mountains meeting with the sea air so it can be humid at times.
If you require any more info visit the homeowners website.
