Re the original post...if you have to ask you already have your own doubts. NOT A GOOD SIGN.

what do you think of a turkish man asking me to buy a house?
i always believe that a turkish man provides for his wife because they make good husbands.
We have got engaged, how should we have celebrated this? Do they take engagments seriously?

Take no notice of the doubters Choc, you should give him every penney you have to show how much you love him, then get a loan , and give him that .true love has no price.

Re: Turkish Relationship/Divorce
Wow such a bull s**t about Muslims are allowed more than one wife and hard to get divorce... To have more than one wife you must be millionaire as you have to treat all your wives the same if one has a house you have to buy the other one a house, if you catch my drift.
In Turkey divorce is so common you won't believe it and it is illegal to marry more than once. Law in Turkey is based on French law not Saudi law remember that..
Remember Turkey is not Iran or Saudi, and there are many different Muslims like Christians (Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox...)
To chocolate; if you have doubts from the beginning it is not right for you.. As I don't know him or you I cannot answer personal questions. If you want to tell me more to help PM me. Did he introduce you to his family and friends in Turkey?? that is very important to a Turkish relationship also did you guys get engaged among his family - What I mean is was it between you two or was it a festive celebration with his friends and family?
If you met his family and had an engagement party with his relations then i dont see any problem with your relationship... Plus don't worry what they say about home-wrecker in here.. Your feelings are more important and not all marriages end with a death... We are talking about a love here - I HOPE.....

Diane i find your comments adn advice puzzling..since i know you are in a relationship with a Turkish man...is this how you really see them?
İve been with Yusuf for many years..we have little money go everywhere together and support each other with the many ups and downs we have to contend with ..both with his family..(father on regular dialysis ..and my son s problems) added to that yusuf has now been diagnosed with Diabetes and associated problems...but thats off topic...
İf i felt as you do i wouldnt come backwards and forwards to Turkey as İ know you do..so there must be something you are getting from your time here...come and spill the beans
