Yes you are 100% correct,but in Jan.this year i took an english person to get their R/P & they only had 18,000tl to show in their Turkish bank account & they still got a 5 year permit!!..So who knows...walk in to the Polis office,,smile & wish then a nice day[in turkish !!! ] goes a long way.

Christine,like anything official here,it all depends on who you speak to & what mood they are in.Mark is correct on the figure he quoted,i have the same form,but it goes to show that nothing is hard & fast here...confused.com.

well i#m going to have to sell appartment as i wanted it stay every summer there is no way i will get permit as there is no way i will be able to show i have $1000 a month this a vey big sum that's nearly 2000 per month who spends that on bills and food without a morgage this has depressed me so much but hey ho life a suppose , dreams you just shattered .

Things certainly do seem to vary from region to region. Even the form in Nevsehir doesn't seem to be the same as David's one. There is a place to put "widowed" which shows up on your RP. Nevsehir accepts Turkish credit card statements as proof of available money, or goldshop receipts (300 USD per month)
