Wedding in Bodrum
Hi
Pete and are I are moving to Turkey (Turgutreis) on 7th April. Next year we hope to get married in Bodrum, hopefully the Castle but have no definite plans as to if it will be the Castle or elsewhere yet.
Has anybody got married in any beautiful places (including the Castle of course) that they could share with me?
We obviously need to settle there a bit first but also things need to be booked up.
Things like venues, dresses, receptions, cakes - EVERYTHING really that I have no clue about. Nor where to start. Obviously prices too!
Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated as its always the girlie who has the organise it hey girls :-)

Re: Wedding in Bodrum
HI Lorraine, when we were in Gumbet last september an English couple got married from our hotel in the castle, they had an amazing turkish night the night before in the hotel with belly dancing and they put henna on all the ladies hands that were there. then the men joined in with dancing at the end it was lovely, they had a wonderful wedding in the castle and after went on a gullet cruise.
I wish you every happiness and hope you get the information you are looking for.

Hello TinainCornwall
Many thanks, that sounds great. I guess Ill find out who to contact at the Castle. It just seem sooooo big and lovely im expecting a huge figure to go with the hire of it. Hopefully not. I guess our honeymoon won't exist though, as we will be living in Turkey anyhow. Never know though :-) Many thanks anyway

Re: Wedding in Bodrum
What fun....a wedding to plan....
Oncew you get over here and somewhat settled, if you want, I will take you around to the different places, we can price them and get ideas......
sounds such fun.......
I've heard of people getting married on gullets too......but of course you're limited to the amount of guest and if all the TLF members come you might want to rethink the gullet idea........

Re: Wedding in Bodrum
Hi Pebble,
That would be brilliant as i'm sure I would be going round searching for ages. Ive seen some pictures of the Castle on top where the people get married and it looks so beautiful. They had big white Medieval Chairs which looked so nice.
Yes Ill deffo take you up on your offer.
As for the TLF members and a Gullet? Maybe a Cruise Liner would be a better idea :-)
Thanks Pebble
