Child's first British passport

Hi Guys,

I am going through the process of getting my daughter her first British passport, but I am having a few issues understanding the supporting documents section. My main questions are below. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly, I am confused as to whether I need to get the formül A (turkish birth certificate) translated. On the back of the Formül a certificate there is a numbered translation key which includes english- is this enough?

Also, what did you send to prove your address. Are utility bills acceptable? If so, do they need to be translated?

One more thing? Do I need to send my wife's birth certificate, even though she is not a british citizen.

Oh and how about a photo ID? She's only a few months old so I don't have anything like that right now. Is it a must?

Thanks so much for your help.

Re: Child's first British passport

I’m also having a few problems in renewing my British passport and was pleasantly surprised at how helpful they were when I called the Southport office (+443002220000).

Always best to get info from the horse’s mouth!
