My business partner went up to Villa Park yesterday and this road at the Yalikavak end is now closed. You have to get to Sunlight via the Gumusluk entrance.

Hi Cheekychops. Go from Bodrum to Derekoy then to Gumusluk......but proper Gumusluk. Not the beach bit. The inland village with the mosque. Keep the mosque on your lefthand side, as you approach the school on the left, where the road divides, there is a corner shop on your right. Do a very sharp right turn behind the shop and there is the road that you need............follow it to Sunlight.
I am going up to Villa Park in a couple of hours to hang curtains and finish furnishing a clients place. If I see anything happening with the road I will let you know.
I dont have a map ,sorry.
By the way my Turkish business partner reckons there could be up to 20 sites that use this road !
Happy to help

Hi Cheeky Chops,
We have an apartment further on from yours at Sunlight Homes. All the owners on the complex have been asked for a payment towards the cost of the road. We have not agreed this payment yet as there are many questions that we want answering first. I find it very strange that we were told that unless the complexes that use this road contribute towards the cost then the council would not start it yet. Now we are being told that the road is closed off for construction and we haven't agreed to pay yet? Just what is the truth?

Road was open again yesterday but the surface has been broken up on the first section between the dolmus road and top of the first hill. At the top of the hill is now a sign that reads Gumusluk Council Road Works.
So looks like they are making a bit of a start on it.
Langmad. Hi Derick.Hope you are both well. I think cheeky chops is on Sunlight too.
No nem ..... what colour should I have done the curtains? I am not up on team colours !

thank you for the update lynne . it seems likely that , not for the first time , our developers are taking the ....
as you go there fairly regularly it would be really helpful to us if you could post any progress reports
a number of us have asked some questions of the developer but we dont get answers or any information only requests for money !
all the best ,
paul.
