Guy arrived on our site last week for 6 months stay.
He passed thru and had his visa stamped at Bodrum airport,when he heard a kerfufel back at the booth, seems the visa wallahs were only stamping the visas for one month
He returned and insisted on 3 months so they overstamped the one month visa.
Dont know why it is done,but it could come as a shock for someone assuming they had a 3 month visa.

This was mentioned last week. That said it happended to us last Oct, but I've just checked my passport and they stamped over the sticker with 90 days. I was told it was because they had run out 3 month visa stickers.

Hi, i checked our passports last night from our trip going out 18 March we were given the one month visa but luckily they were overstamped clearly with 90 days on them,we go back shortly and hope we dont have any trouble getting back in.

sounds like its a Bodrum thing - all mine from Izmir are 3 month multiple entry type

I looked at someones passport the other day that was saying their visa was only for one month.
If you look really carefully at the visa .......its $10 (dollar) and one month
So I am guessing they are using up a supply of visas for Americans
But over stamped on the top in ink was very definetly..........90 days
