Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum

Has anyone been to Denizhan ( opposite kIpa ) recently. The food is fantastic however we were unsure what was going on as the food just kept coming. We had to stop the waiter bringing anymore. THEN WE WERE HIT WITH WHAT SEEMED A HUGE BILL. We did ask for the menu but then we thought it was a set menu.

Has anyone else been and experienced the same?

Yes - we had heard rave reviews about this place so when we had closed for the season last November we decided to try - the same thing happened to us - we told them we didnt want anymore food but they insisted on bringing what we would class as 2nd class food - also very tough steak !
Was presented a VERY large bill - would not recomend - although alot of very rich Turks go there and are happy

Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum

We have been to Denizhan several times - we let them know when we go in if we want the menu or if we want mezes and kebabs - we have never had a bad meal nor have any of our friends, I think it is one of the best restaurants on the peninsula. Some fo the wine is pricey but our bill has never been massive.

Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum

Hi there, I am new to this forum - hello!
I have a quick question. I would like to book Marina Yacht Club for a meal for a 40th birthday. Is it a good choice. Am a Bodrum fan but have never tried the yacht club. If not any other suggestions
Thanks in advance

PS Best bar in Bodrum IMO is Korfez

Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum

Re-BODRUM YACHT CLUB Evet,I have been several times and enjoyed it very much, particularly the "live" latin/jazz music and the general ambience.
I am going to Bodrum myself in April and will be going, for the first time,to the KAFEDAKI restaraunt,it's been recommended several times on this thread. It is behind the Oasis shopping centre with great views over Bodrum Castle, telephone 02523 170 275.It also has live music,I think........ Wherever you go have a great 40th.

Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum

Hi,

We've just got back from a couple of weeks in Bitez. The strip at the front is the same as usual, too many restaurants vying for business with quite high prices and to be honest the quality wasn't that great. Always amazes me how I eat out in the States for a lot less than it costs in Bitez. Why do the restauranteurs think I want to eat bottled vegetables with a meal, when there is so much much fresh veg available in Turkey is beyond me.

We did try the Pinarhan as mentioned above and found it to be excellent, it's beside the Blue Moon. Tried their steaks the first night and the sirloin was great. We returned for a second meal a few nights later and it was excellent also. They will also let you use their wireless internet if you ask.

For any of you Bitexz regulars that remember Typhoon the little boy that used to sell roses on the beach in Bitez, he's working in the bar here.

Sweetnighter:-

We have booked to go to Kafidaki when we come out at the end of this month. What was it like and what are the prices like. Also want to go to Marina Yacht club - even if it's only for a drink and soak up the atmosphere.
