Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum
You can eat meatballs and have a drink at Koftane in Bitez run by a lovely turkish couple. Maybe not the best meatballs but they are delicious and clean and bonus nice chat. It is a very small place with three or four tables in Bitez village on the road going from the main road to Yali. Most of the decoration, lamps etc., has been made by the owners. And very reasobale prices.
Belediye's place (Municipality) on the way to Icmeler on the right side. Nice view. And having raki and enjoying the sunset is really relaxing.
And last but not least Nino, the master of pizza. One of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. But unfortunately he works for a different place every summer. I don't know where he will work this summer. When I learn it, I will post it here. Last summer he was in Gumbet and later in Kadikalesi.

Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum
If u wanna listen Turkish live music and enjoy with Turkish people around then try : Campanella ( in the bars street)
if u wanna enjoy the beach all day and stay for a dinner at the same place, then try : Baraka in Torba(mmmm nice food)
If u wanna listen best of classics(live) and enjoy the large turkish, Indian, Mexican and Italian menu then try Planet Yucca in Gümbet
My most favorite bar is ORA BAR - Bars street Bodrum center
If u need something more classy then its KUBA Bar , on the way to marine.

Kaptains bar, but I dont remember how I got there sorry? Its in the Bazaar somewhere and only open "out of season" and is used by the local's and not tourist? The owner shuts up in early summer and sails the med but the few times we went in Nov it was local music and songs? a "real" Turkish night

You can't beat Adana 01 in Gumbet for a proper Adana Kebab or a good bowl of soup! Excellent value too.

Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum
Really nice restaurant in gumusluk it is at the top of the hill before you go past all the little stalls to the beach - and they are even cheaper than all the ones at the front.
Windy bay in Gumbet had some really nice meals there too.
Another fav in Bodrum is one that is on your way down to the harbour when coming from the market you would easily walk passed this one as it is covered with bushes - nice place for your lunch after buying all the crap in the market.
When I am next there I will put the names of the restaurants on.

Got to agree with Carol, also a must to visit in Turgutreis is Nanais (just off the sea front in the middle with a few other restaurants) it's fab.
The Kebab House is shut Carol opposite the harbour, she really did try to make a go of it but I think it is just a little too far out from town and that's where most people go in the evening, it was lovely Carol, we were sad to see it had shut down.
Just 4 weeks on Friday for us

Re: Best Bars and Restaurants in Bodrum
The best Food in Gumbet/Bitez is at the Queen Apartments. On the hill on the left walking down to Bitez beach. I have tried many a restaurant over 10 years. These guys use to own a restaurant opposite Parkim palace called Queen of hearts (I think)
they moved and built their own apartments which we have stayed in . They are beautiful, well equiped and in a great position. Trouble being everytime we got ready to venture out we couldnt resist their food. The Best Turkish Food a have ever tasted and i am married to a Turk.
