Living in Bodrum
Hi All
Well, we did it! Have finally made the move to Bodrum yesterday. Arrived late last night. Flights went well, and only had to pay 90 ponds excess baggage, whıch was brilliant, as we had LOADS. Nobody batted an eyelid at our laptop or anything either, so didnt have to pay any tax etc which was good.
The apartment we had planned to stay in turned out to be damp, so we are now in the hotel we had a holiday in last year - 180 pounds for a month, so not too bad.
We got a free transfer from the airport with a friend in an estate agent...on the condition that we look at his houses today. So, here we go, the hunt for a home starts now!
Its freezing cold here today, but with really bright sun. I'm in an internet cafe as haven't got laptop sorted yet - the sound of the mosque makes me smile.
Thought I would write a kind of diary on here of our property search and the highs and lows of moving to Bodrum...is this ok?
And anyone living in Bodrum, please get in touch with me!

Helen great news. Good luck in your house search. A diary on here would be brilliant, I will certainly look forward to reading it.
£90 excess is great, have you had stuff shipped over also?

hi Helen
good luck with your move ,what part are you looking to move to, the bodrum Peninsular or else where, maybe with your diary you could take photos of the houses you see and post them that would be interesting
