I dont, know if this is the case all over turkey, but after waiting over 4 years now for our tapu spent a day last week in the kusadasi tapu office (an experience in itself) awaiting our tapu which we still do not have incidentally,only to find a new dictator in charge of the kusadasi tapu office now insists all passports are translated into turkish and then noterized, as our eventual tapu will be in joint names this cost us just short of 100 ytl to translate both passports
