Re: Tapu News Flash!!
I am buying two appartments I have just been told my tapu is being processed but am being asked for 1000 pounds sterling sales tax and also 1000 pounds for certificate of habitation and water and electricity deposits for each appartment before I can get the tapu. As one appartment is much smaller and cost much less than the other these figures sound suspicious, do you know or know where i can find out how much I should be paying?

Great news. Hope we will now get news from our builder that everything is in order. There has been a lot of worried buyers.

Re: Tapu News Flash!!
Property tax is due before the transfer of tapu can take place, it's usually done when you go for the transfer, you are then given the bill to pay at the bank, after you have paid the bill the transfer can then be completed.

Re: Tapu News Flash!!
Hi All,
I would be grateful for your help with this one...
I bought a new development in Altinkum last summer, which is due to finish by the end of May. I seem to understand from my agent that even if the Tapu has not come throug by that time, I would already be able to occupy the flat.
Any thoughts or similar experiences?
Many thanks........Cantaloupe

Re: Tapu News Flash!!
This is usually possible and depends on your contract or arrangements with the seller, most developers are fine with you occupying the property as long as most of the money is already paid by then.
But officialy the services like water and electric can not be connected until the tapu has been issued, but a lot of people seem to get round that somehow.
