I'm very happy today, lots of big chocolate cakes. My Tapu is ready. I have been waiting since last March. I just have to get myself out there now. Thank you to everyone who has kept us updated during the long wait.

I wonder if anyone else has actually got the tapu yet. I have been talking to the friend who has my power of attorney and he is going to try to get it tomorrow BUT it seems that my military permission that arrived on 26th July may have run out and will have to be re applied for. I can't believe it. Has anyone else got this problem?

I do hope this is not true as I bought in Oct 04 and still no sign of Tapu. The whole episode has been a nightmare from start to finish. Reading on this thread I noticed that a fee has to be paid before the Tapu is released. Something eles my agent never bothered to tell me, so why am I not suprised.

A lot of Tapus have now started to come through in Altinkum, so I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

We bought our place 25th May 05 and our Lawyer emailed me to say our Tapu was ready for us to sign last Thursday.

Would do some checking with your agent or lawyer if i were you.

Hope you and everyone else waiting soon get their Tapu's.

Maybe we should have a new Thread called something like "who has got their Tapu"and how long we have been waiting for it.
