Cheapest, decent area of Turkey to buy in?!
To cut a long story short - We were going to buy in Turkey, changed our minds and put a deposit down on an off plan apartment in Italy. Its now looking like we're going to back out due to some grey area's with the contract. I now have approx £30k that I really need to invest in a property soon. I love Turkey but have only visited Fethiye, Dalyan area.
I am a little concerned about over development in Turkey but I would still consider investing there.
My question is, bearing in mind my budget, is it reasonable to find a decent small apartment to buy for this amount and where should I look? Ideally I want something that is ready now.

Hi Claire, you could still buy something of a reasonable size in Dalaman, only 5km from the airport and still fairly unspoilt by tourism, very central to most areas and with good bus links.

I fancied Dalaman or Dalyan but cannot seem to find anything within my budget there. Was looking towards Akbuk, Didim area as seem cheaper- although I've never been so not sure if I'd like it.

Thanks for the plug Red ........ Yes,it's still for sale folks
I timed the advertising of it quite badly, because we don't have a key holder until next month, so although a few people have since wanted to view it they couldn't
We aren't concerned to be honest though, because we're certain it'll sell this year.

It might be the not so popular places like Ayvalik, Canakkale or Mersin which are very nice places but not as developed tourism wise as Bodrum, Marmaris, Antalya etc.
