HI Anyone,

I'd just like to tell you briefly about Cagkent our site.It is a site made up of 91 villas.We are situated just off the silver sands beach.We have a large number of British owners on our site which has been a blessing because the site has had so many problems over the last 4 or so years.We are not out of the woods yet but we are hopeful.I havent had any contact with anyone from Cagkent since last year anyone got any news they want to share.Did a new childrens play area ever appear.

Hope u are all ok.
Yes, there is a new play area, new slide etc all brightly painted. I think the Belediye installed it some time last year.
No news on Cagkent from my end.

Hi Gary Tracey and Josh,hope you are all well,we have not had a great time since returning home from Cagkent last summer, i came home and developed Campylobacter within 24hrs,thought i was going to die i was so ill,only recently started to feel well as it also sent my thyroid gland mad.Johns father was diagnosed with lung cancer in November and sadly died in January and Baby John has suffered 3 bouts of tonsilitis in 6 weeks so has been very ill as well. After everything that happened last summer and the run up to Christmas i didnt think i wanted to go back to Turkey again but feel different now and we are going out for Easter so might see you there if you are over if not will give you an update when we get back, i did have a call from our Agent at the end of December to say Tapus were ready but havent heard anything since ,surprise surprise.Speak soon Cath.

Hi ,G&T .I posted on your last question on Tapus about 10 days ago,to reiterate the co-op and freeholders are now one .Sitka will contact all as soon as paperwork is through ( so ive been told )Ray P got his tapu 3 weeks ago collected by Bernie.I was out for 7 weeks and came home the end of January and can tell you the place looks a lot better than last year,The bascan and Genkis are working hard.

Hope you are well.Thanks for letting us know about play park.It is encouraging when they say they are going to do something and actually do it.Are we making progress.Cath,John and little John well you know we know how you felt when you left last summer we felt exactly the same.This year we will probably laugh about it.It couldnt be any worse this year could it.Sorry to hear about everything you have been coping with.You sound like you could do with a holiday.We cant wait to get back out there we are over 7th April so hopefully see you.We have also been told tapu ready does this mean we get another day out.Great to hear from you and Lorraine we can talk about our site without being told off.Thanks Ronzeus i am actually starting to think we are going to have that tapu this year.

Wow, at last some pretty good news for those of you waiting on your Tapus, finally some closure on the matter.
Cath, remember the WALLPAPER project on production of your Tapu, i WILL be checking you have the seams butted correctly you know...heheheee...

Onwards and upwards from now on then.....

Congratulations to those of you on Cagkent who are finally seeing some light at the end of a very long tunnel. Take a bow those of you who persevered to put things right. You should be very proud of yourselves because there must have been times when you felt your were swimming against a very high tide.

I haven't seen the actual sitesi but have seen some photos and the houses look really nice. Swimming pool looks good, too. Wish you all great times there in the future.

P.S. I'm going to ask Mushtaq to set up a sub-forum for Davutlar/Guzelcamli because as things stand it looks like Cagkent is the only site in the area. Hope you Cagkentites (or should that be Cagkenters?) will understand.

Hi all,
We're Lorraine's neighbours, was out there last august and there was a small playground but it didn't seem like it was a new one, are you saying it has been replaced since then? Will be out there 3rd may so hope to see some changes, does anyone know if they've started on the roads yet!!
Hope things are getting better for you John & Cath,the holiday will do you good,we met you just at the end of our hols last year, think you arrived as we were leaving, did you not enjoy your six wks out there? We were ever so jealous, didn't want to go home!!
