OK, first, I will admit that I am a total computer numpty so if what I am about to post is sooooo stoopid, please forgive me.
You write that the CBF is now offline - if a site is bombarded with questions etc will that affect the site?
The reason I ask is that this week in the Land Of Lights it was suggested that people check out the Calış forum with regard to the overcharging at Dalaman airport in relation to food and drink.

Any connection???

Forums are very susceptible to hacking due to the fact they have a database running. Things like sql injection attacks can get hold of the God/Admin password therefore letting someone make any changes they want including political messages. Some software is free, i.e.public domain, and others, like this one are paid for and are better protected. They are all vulnerable to hacking and you have to keep protection up to date. I ran several forums and blocked attacks from all around the world.

Rainbow,

No, it's probably nothing to do with them being mentioned in LoL and being bombarded with new questions etc.

Although it's possible that a "hacker" was made aware of them through their mention.

The reason the site went off line is that the "hacker" got into the system and changed some of the site's instructions.

The "Harbour" reference was to a long running thread about a customer's problems with a property purchase.

My post re Harbour Houses on the Fethiye forum here was as a result of the extensive problems re Tapu release from a couple of members on the Calis forum of which we are members. We understand that the premises is now closed due to non payment of rent!!! and if any members here have had dealings with them, they should link up with the members involved on the other forum
We were trying to help as were many of its members but it was a very local issue to Fethiye whereas of course this forum has greater coverage on other areas.
We hope it works out for those involved
