Following the Altinkum thread, can we name the best bar/s in Calis?

I've only been there 3 times and tended to use the same ones each time. So far the Bus Stop and Forum have my vote. Bus Stop is really friendly and relaxed, Forum is the same but the surroundings make it stand out from the crowd, ie its more modern than any of the other places.

I notice there is always a crowd in Scarlett bar but we havent ventured there yet.

Any more for any more?

I lived for 2 years in Fethiye and had many a good night in Calis....

Scarlett was always a good place as was Annas but always found Orient Express over rated.

The Foxes Glove

There are many good bars in Calis, along with those mentioned you could include the Meeting Point, Nil, and the much improved Mangal. Then the are the true bars and less restaurant types such as The Meri Bar and I suppose even The Forum!

One place we found to be worth a visit for it's excellent pide and pizza is Aydin Pide, not to mention the outstanding value of the food and drink there!

Then there is also the Berlik and Take Inn at the other end - nice to sit on the beach with the quiet and watch the sun go down.

I agree with you about the Birlik, havent been to the Take Inn yet. We really enjoyed the Birlik last year in May, being the only customers on the best part of the beach with a beautiful view.

We went looking for the Birlik in July. Ended up stopping at the Surf cafe/bar instead as it was so hot I couldn't have gone any further.
It's had such good reviews I've promised myself a visit next time.

I dont blame you Anne, we hardly walked anywhere at the end of June as the kids found it to hot. Dont be expecting too much though, its virtually a shack on the beach but the meals are lovely, the beach is sandy and the resident dog likes company

After a cold one at the Surf Bar move 100yds or so to the Take Inn for another cold beer then another short stroll to the Berlik!
