Gren strangely i agree with you on this one, there appears to be a similarity with the people in India, it would appear that in response to a question people would rather tell you any thing, rather than say no, or i don't know. Oddly i personally believe it is more to do with being polite and not disappointing you, rather than deliberately attempting to deceive.
Intended as a general generalisation, not a comment or reflection on any post in this thread.

Thats EXACTLY what my memory of some Indians was! I quite agree.
Personally I found it quite infuriating. Cultural differences?
