Gifting uk car to Customs
 
I have a vw golf with uk plate. It has to either leave turkey by december or be dumped at customs. Does anyone know if Bodrum Airport accept cars. I did all the paperwork at bodrum but need to know if i wld hav to take it somewhere else. Thanks.

Cant you give it to a Turk ? . If you can I know someone who will have it like a shot .

Evo ,it's RHD,and Turkish nationals cannot import cars.

If its in good nick could you not see if anyone is willing to drive it back to the UK for a free car.

Drive it into Bulgaria, you can flog it there (I think)

Surely the owner would have to drive it so as to have it recorded in his/her passport that the car left Turkey.

I am sure this is true. That's why people gift their cars if they cannot personally take it out of the country for what ever reason .
