Free Water Saving Devices

Saving water isn't only for times of drought; we cannot afford to waste this precious resource at any time. To help save water many companies in the UK offer free devices to be placed in your toilet cistern, meaning that you use less water every time you flush. If you local water company does not offer such a device it is possible to put a brick or large pebble in your cistern to acheive the same effect. Be careful that anything which you put in the cistern does not affect its working.

If you care about the enviroment then please
email your water suppier for one of these.

Re: Free Water Saver

This idea, has been mentioned decades ago, during the early eighties, due to the 1976 drought has triggered off many ideas on the saving of water, and the main one was this idea,by bunging a brick in the cistern.
The disadvantage of having an object in the cistern, will release less water,[and excuse the pung]will not flush the bricks around the bend properly, which will create more than one flush,to get those blighters,on their way to the zewers.
l think the best method in the saving of water,is a total and completly new idea, subsidized by the government. How about the non-water composting toilet, where the waste is dispersed in a container, riddled with composting worms, called bradlings,"l think".
And after a few weeks you have top quality compost for the garden, that the plants will love,l actually tried it,and l grabbed some of this compost in my hand, and it smelt sweet, which means it has the quality,to be called compost
