E bay??
I have 2 small boys and regularly use e-bay to buy books and games amongst other things with delivery to Turkey averaging a week or so. I am currnetly looking at nintendo ds and the kids digi cameras and just wondering if anybody had ordered small electrical products online to be delivered here and if they got here safely/ not returned or stopped by customs. I know pay pal offers reimbursment if your product doesnt arrive. Is it worth the gamble?? The kids digi cameras are £40 on ebay compared to 180 lira in the marmaris toy shop!!

Re: E bay??
I think it is a gamble because I believe customs put their own valuation on such goods (and they don´t automatically accept the sale price) and if that exceeds their limit (I think it is $100, including cost of postage) they will charge you to get it through - and that will certainly not be worth doing.
Also, your Paypal guarantee may not apply to customs problems.

Re: E bay??
We've had a couple of games consoles shipped over and they have been marked up as presents by the seller (from e-bay), first took 6 weeks to arrive, second 10 days from the UK, the only problems we've ever had with customs charges was when we ordered from the British Corner shop and then we were called to the airport to explain why we had ordered 200 pouches of cat food, were we running a shop!

Re: E bay??
I had a wireless keyboard and mouse through UK seller on Ebay, had no problems at all with getting it at this end, paid nothing at customs when I had to collect it from PTT which I was quite surprised at as they had opened it, but as most of us know even simple things like the post can turn into big headaches in Turkey.
Only real problem I had was when I had a huge box of bankrupt stock of beads sent from USA, I paid the seller the full postage to come via courier, and according to the "cargo" company in Fethiye I had to pay the full amount again, as they said the sender hadn't paid lol....they only caught me once like that!
