Re: Sky TV using 3m Dish
There are certainly people in the Fethiye area that receive Sky with such a dish, but I do not have one personally.

Re: Sky TV using 3m Dish
I think it is 3m or nothing from what I have read, it would look like Jodrell Bank on our roof.

Re: Sky TV using 3m Dish
Hello Jim,
You may be OK for the Pay per View Channels but if you are trying for the the freeview channels..BBC1 etc you may have some difficulty as the beam for Sky freewiew is very narrow. Assume that you have bought a 3M offset dish? The LNB is also important, you need as low a signal to noise ratio LNB as you can get. Most packages come with a .7db LNB but a .3db LNB will give you a better chance of receiving all the channels. Just for info, I have 5M dish, have'nt got a SKY digibox and card so can only receive the free channels, these are OK in the morning but fade they fade away in the evening. Would be interested to know how you get on!

Re: Sky TV using 3m Dish
Why don't you just go and get digiturk? free dish, free box and about 70ytl installation then only 39.90ytl a month for the cinema package, or less for the family pack or more if you want the whole lot!! Dish is very small.

Re: Sky TV using 3m Dish
But no Coronation Street, Eastenders, Big Bruvver. If the dish did not have to be so big I think a lot more would have Sky. We have Digiturk and we are quite happy with what is on offer. Well, he is quite happy as I am on here and HE is watching Portsmouth and Man City. Ho Hum!

Re: Sky TV using 3m Dish
Of course you get Eastenders,(BBC Prime) 1 hour at 7pm sat, and 1 hour 7pm Sun. (all the weeks episodes in 2 hour long sessions).
