Not really, but do'nt forget to pack the power supply and cables and you may need an adaptor for the plug.

If you can bring an anti-surg adapter that would be good to.

Re: laptops

when you take it through customs you have to be sure you have enough power in it to turn it on in case they ask to see it work, in case its some sort of detenator i suppose. However not sure what the situation is at the moment with takeing them through as hand luggage, may be worth checking with your tiur operator

Re: laptops

BAA drive me nuts travelled last September, October
and December from Gatwick with Laptop and handbag
travelled in February, they had to be combined, so I had
to buy a bag to get them both in, queued up through
passport control to be told to remove laptop from hand lugage
to go through seperately, after that no one seems to give
a dam how many bags you have!!
then 2 weeks ago I took my sons Swiss girlfriend and
explained to her she wouldnt get through with her
laptop and bag, which at the check in they reiterated
only to be told at passport control the bag was the wrong
shape! I explained that it was a combination of her laptop
and handbag... no problem take them through seperately
I wish they'd make up there B***** minds just what the rules
are....

Re turning the laptop on I have only ever been asked to do this
at Dalaman...security wise I think it makes sense and I'm suprised
that with all the security at Uk airports they havent implimented
this rule
