Hi Dalamaners,

While standing around outside the Belediye, waiting to pay our water bill, I got talking to one of the girls who work in the 'Beyaz Masa' office (white table?). Her name in English is 'Angel' and she speaks good English, she told me that Beyaz Masa is there to help people (particularly yabanci) if they have any problems with electricitcy, water, Tapu or any other problems with their house. Sounds like a bit of a 'one-stop shop' and a very good idea.

beyaz masa is really an information service ..but i think you would need to speak turkish to understand any of the services..
what angel means by 'especially yabancı' she means fellow citizens from other parts of the country.
yabancı in turkish doesn't just mean people from other countries..it also means people coming into an area from other parts of Turkey....and its these that this service is primarily for.
