Hi There Everyone,

Last time we were out there the tunnel was almost completed. Is the tunnel open now? Has anyone used it? How much are they charging to take a car through?
Just curious.

Yes the tunnel is open and it is 2.5 lira each way It is too expensive for most Taksi drivers and they are still using the old route......

I went through on monday and they were only charging one way....coming towards Fethiye from Dalaman. Maybe i just picked a lucky day....?!

The new tunnel between Dalaman and Gocek has now unofficially opened for use. The official opening will be later this month. The journey time over the hills that used to take about 15 to 20 mins will now take only 2 mins. An additional benefit will be to remove the circuitous route over the hills which was often the scene of accidents as vehicles attempted to overtake slow moving lorries. The charges will be cars 2.5 ytl, minibus 3.5 ytl, lorries 5 ytl. Buses 7.5 ytl.

Unless you returned through the tunnel from Fethiye to Dalaman then you only travelled one way and paid the correct prıce..... If you went and returned through the tunnel and only paid once, then yes it was your lucky day.
