Google Earth has just done an update on the area east and north of Dalaman. Those of you in the Hillside development in the foothills north can now find your villas!

Still no improvement of the definition of the town centre or airport areas though.

I believe the area around the airport and town have been blanketed due to the airport being military.
A nuisance as our place is halfway between the two

We found our place as it's just a little right of the 'fuzzy' bit, I was very excited but then I'm a bit sad really.

As we have said before we are very disappointed with Google Earth due to the age of the photography!
Looking at our valley in Tasyaka near Fethiye the view has got to be 2 years old by now. The couple is the complex opposite us have been there for 18 months in their villa and on the Google view they have just started building it with ours nowhere to be seen and presumably all of the area is the same amount out of date.
It takes away the point of it really and I think we will scrap it to save some hard drive space for a while!!
Anybody else thinks its a waste of space considering the memory it needs??

No, not at all, it's a useful tool, especially for showing someone directions etc . Can't expect something of that size and undertaking to be fully up todate all the time surely?

We did an update after Spike prompted us with his posting and up until then the image of our place was also two years out of date. The updated image is now this year's. If no joy send me the coordinates of your place and I can send you the link.

I told my wife that Google earth had caught her sunbathing topless by the pool, if you zoom right in!!

The look on her face until I burst out laughing was a picture!!
