Re: new restaurants in dalaman
I believe the Begonville is closing for the winter, went there 2 weeks ago at lunchtime and they had no food! Also heard about the Biz Biz, but no signs of cleaning up or anything yet, unless they wait until after Ramadan. As far as I'm aware no other places have opened up.
Sorry can't be of more help

Re: new restaurants in dalaman
Where is Biz Biz-when it eventually opens-just so I'll know next time?
We like Ley-Ley and they'll come to Dalaman to pick you up and take you back. Also, liked Toprakana although it was more expensive.

Re: new restaurants in dalaman
One more for the list.
When we were in Dalaman a couple of weeks ago a friend took us to a restaurant called the 'Tayyare' which, I think, means Airplane. The owner is ex Turkish Air Force (which explains the name, I suppose!) and keeps a pet budgie.
Anyway the food was excellent and very cheap and the place was absolutely spotless.
There is a 'Tayyare' sign just past the Kelebek turning as you leave Dalaman and you turn right there. You then drive up a side road until you find another 'Tayyare' sign and the restaurant is on the right.
Highly recommended.

Hi Mike and Hilary
We'll try that one out next time we go out, unfortunately, it will be a long wait, hoping to go out in March but it depends on work etc.

Re: new restaurants in dalaman
For something cheap, basic but really well-cooked, the Sofra that just behind the council building is great. No alcohol, but for a lunch it's excellent. The only downside is having to use the public toilets next door. Once I got customer's rates (ie free) the other time it didn't work and I had to pay - another 50 kurus down the pan.
Yosun, where you're all off to in April, is excellent, (good choice by someone), they'll pick you up too, I think. The live music on Saturday nights is a bonus (they're all music teachers -mis).
CafeInn is newly opened just off the main street for a snack and seems to be aiming for the sophisticated crowd - can't be too sophisticated though, as I was allowed in.
