Holiday to Dalyan in less than 3 weeks

Hi Everyone
We are off to Dalyan in less than 3 weeks with our 2 boys (9 and 12) .
I was wondering if anyone could recommend some reasonably priced good family orientated restaurants (preferably serving Turkish food)
Also what are the prices like - How much is a beer, bottle of wine etc.
As we will be living on a tight budget.

Many Thanks,

Jacqui

Hi,
take a walk down the main street and you will be spoiled for choice. The menu's and cost are pretty much similar, all serving Turkish food. We've never had a bad meal in Dalyan. Beer costs between 3.5 and 5 lira for a bottle of Efes.
Have good holiday!!

Re: Holiday in 3 less than 3 weeks

Try any of the locantas or places doing pide for inexpensive eating, beer in most of the bars and restaurants is more likely to be around the 5 to 7 lira mark and at least 3 for a soft drink or large water. For something more upmarket you could try the spa hotel which has an excellent restaurant with reasonable prices or any of the riverside restaurants near the spa and of course you must try Ali Baba near the big supermarket in the centre. Probably you will be "invited" into the first one you pass and will find it just to your liking. It is very difficult to recomend any particular one as they all seem to offer very much the same, just be very carefull when ordering fish as this can be very expensive.

Hi Jacqui,

I have always found "Metin's Pide" to be a good and popular option when eating out with children. The pide are very good and the prices reasonable. No riverside view, though! Metin's Pide is near the small roundabout in the town's centre (by the square with the mosque). If you are standing at the roundabout facing the mosque, you take the road to the left and Metin's is on the right.

Have a lovely holiday!

I concurr with mafalda.Always found Metins pide excellent value.
They even deliver out to our villa on the edge of Dalyan.
When we fancy a drink in town and a pic nic later we just tell them what we want and what time we want it deliverd.
Nice little stroll around Dalyan then head back to the house knowing the food is on its way.
Excellent service.

l always found Dalyan overpriced and bad food but if you go off the main street behind near the supermarket it was not so bad there!
