Re: Dalyan, things to do places to see Recommendations?

I went to the small house at the roundabout near Binlik with my family a few nights ago and can definitely recommend it! We went as a group of 7, one 14 year old who was worried he wouldn't like the Turkish food so asked for pasta and my 82 year old Grannie who doesn't like spicy and they were happy to accommodate. You do need to book in advance though as you literally are eating in someones garden
A day trip to Yuvurlakcay, a moonlight boat trip, or simply sit in one of the many lovely riverside restaurants and watch the world sail by!

Re: Dalyan, things to do places to see Recommendations?

I think the question being asked (I may be wrong) is 'what is there to do/see in the area of Dalyan'. My husband and I love Dalyan and visit most years from our home in Hisaronu. We also would like to know if there are any places of interest in the area that we may have missed. We are not talking about restaurants but would really like to know of places to visit - we do not have a car but rely on public transport. I'm sure those of you living in Dalyan will be able to help as we would if you visited Hisaronu.

Re: Dalyan, things to do places to see Recommendations?

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. Two family members and two of their friends are coming to Dalyan next week on their first visit to Turkey. Although we will seeing them we can't take them places as our car won't fit six adults.

What I was looking for was suggestions for things to do, places to see and places to eat during their holiday. If they were coming to our area we'd have plenty to recommend and whilst we have been to Dalyan and surrounding areas I am not sure what is within easy reach by public transport or on foot.

definitely the boat trip to the beach, i had forgotten how lovely it was until i did it with friends recently. Take sandwiches the food at the cafe was pretty inedible.
The dolmus to the other end of the beach is easy and a pretty journey, where they can also visit the turtle centre.
Without a car I think they are pretty much stuck with the organised tours or the dolmus and boats.
The mud baths are quite fun as is an evening lake trip
There is also a little row boat that takes you over to kaunos , with cafes at the landing point - but kaunos has no protection from the sun so maybe they would not want to spend long over there.
Frankly at the moment its tooooooooo hot to do much in the daytime!
I am sure they will have a great time.

Re: Dalyan, things to do places to see Recommendations?

Hi might be a bit late as only just seen this thread but my sister has a place in dalyan and we often eat at the Seabreeze restaurant which is on the main square near the mosque. The menu is really varied and Murat and JJ the owners are lovely, attentive but not in the least bit pushy and you can just chill out there and watch the world float by. If you go there on your last night your only regret will be that you didnt make it there on your first. Excellent food, great service, fun and very reasonable. Cant recommend it enough.
