Re: Prices this year

It's all gone up from last year, for us in Tuzla about 10- 15% I would say. Beer was 6 tl end of June.

Re: Prices this year

Yes, Turkish Logic I think - if there are less tourists (due to the down-turned economy etc), push up the food and drink prices to compensate!

Still a lot cheaper than 'Euro' Europe, so I shouldn't whine too much and our villa has been booked out most of the season this year. We'll be in Dalyan tomorrow - roll on :-)

Re: Prices this year

If you have a look at the Trip Adviser Dalyan forum you will see lots of recent posts that include the price of meals and drinks. In June a bottle of efes ranged from 5tl at Prince of Kaunos and neighbouring bars to 6 and 7 at the bars in middle of town and 8 TL in a couple of restaurants on the river.

Re: Prices this year

Question hasn`t been asked for a while now. How much is a can of efes these days ?
Based on Wethers prices of £2.85 and the exchange rate then 9 1/2 lira for 50cl is the equivalent price in UK.

Re: Prices in Dalyan this year

The TRNC is incredibly cheap compared to mainland Turkey. Raki was 20tl a bottle earlier this year.

We visited Dalyan in October and found the shopping to be expensive (gifts and clothes) there was a good range of prices in the restaurants so can't really complain about that.

Hi,

A bottle of Cyprus Brandy in the TRNC is around 6-8 TL a bottle-an alcoholics paradise!!

We really love Dalyan and we stayed there earlier this year. Obviously its a tourist resort so you expect to pay a little more.
However, although we found the restaurant prices not too bad the drinks were ridiculous. I'm not talking about the price of Efes but soft drinks.
I was charged 5TL for a glass of coke and for one of those tiny little bottles of soda water-4TL

To me that is an unacceptable price-I could buy the soda water for no more than 50 kurus.

That isn't about government taxes etc-to me that's just fleecing the tourists.
